Illustrate a Number: 8

Some more work from the art school: this one is for the Illustration class. We were given the task to illustrate, among other options, a number. I picked eight. The first thought was to paint an oddly-shaped (in fact, eight-shaped) waterdrop I came across while browsing for references, but the teacher disagreed on the basis it was 'not telling one much'. Time was running out, and what you see now was a desperate last-minute idea, definitely inspired from the brief research I'd made on corsets and waist training (which I found it way more unhealthy than I thought it was, by the way). He was okay with the suggestion, and he never got to see but the finished result, which he asked to be included in the school's illustration exhibition in summer. =) I am tempted to suppose that, in the end, a pair of exaggerated buttocks either "tell" one something, or are just eye-catching enough. Damn. =P
